In the project BARC90, we aimed to create an object that stands out not only through innovation but also through its ability to establish an emotional and tactile bond between itself and the user, as we believe quality design is not just seen- it is being felt. The material choice, the interaction with light, the texture and curvature of the surface- all of these aspects affect the senses and shape the emotion during interaction with the object itself. The following project proposes a design that draws from the textures of the natural world: plants and water. These tactile references are deeply familiar and ground us in the environments we know. Yet in this case, their reimagination into a polished mirror surface creates a new dialogue between natural inspiration and contemporary design.
